Employer / Transcription Contract


Employer’s post jobs for Freelance workers to bid on.  The Employer will set the bid price on an hourly basis, based on a week of work. Bid minimum $35 per hour.  Freelancer can also set their own hourly rate at a minimum of $35 per hour.


For example, $35 per hour,  If Employer requires 4 hours of work a week, your bid price will be $140 (13% Tax billed when invoiced).  Freelancer will receive $119 and Transcribe for me will receive $21 (15% Commission Fee).


Employer – Email your voices files to your favourite Transcriptionist. iPhone and Android compatible (Encryption and Password Protected voice files).  Download our Mobile Dictation App.  Using our app ensures compatibility with our Transcriptionist.  You can also use a digital recorder to send voice files.  Confirm with Transcriptionist for compatibility.


Transcriptionist  – Purchase a transcription kit or you’re welcome to use your own equipment.  Our Mobile dictation app records in a .Wav format.  Download our app and use the trial period to send yourself voice files in order to test compatibility with your Transcription software.  You might have to test send voice files with potential Employers.

We will support Freelance workers with any communication issues or any disagreements with employer.   We reserve the right to block users from our service.  We look forward to building a relationship with both parties in order to provide an excellent Freelancer service.


We payout Freelance workers 15 days from the project completion date by cheque or paypal or direct money transfer (tax free).


We ask that you don’t solicit our clients to work outside of our services directly.  We hope to build a strong relationship with our Freelancer community and help promote your abilities.


Please Email a copy of your driver’s license to support@transcribeforme.ca or Health Card as Valid Photo ID. We will not use your information for any purposes other than the use of our website. We want to protect our clients Medical/Legal/Professional information with all levels of security.  At the request of the client, we reserve the right to run background checks required by Client. This ensures integrity and security for Employers to trust our community of Freelance workers.  We will remove Freelancer’s from our service who do not send a valid form of Identification.

Employer will pay Transcribe for me directly with credit card payment once the job is complete.  We will send money to Freelance worker once you approve that the job is complete.   We will not charge you until you approve that job’s are complete through our system.  You approve, before we send money.  Bids do not include Ontario 13% sales tax.  Official invoice will be sent out to Employer  through email or mail


Free to use & completely transparent

Our service is free to use. Our 15% commission is taken from the total bid price. We are not a job agency and frown upon soliciting our website for your own company.  We hold the right to remove users and block IP Addresses of users who build a relationship outside of our website.  Our hope is to provide on-demand transcription services to our group of Lawyers/Doctors/Professionals across Canada.


Freelancer fees will be used for website hosting and upkeep services to support the Transcribeforme.ca platform.  We promote our services online and at Medical/Legal trade shows across Canada. Advertising costs, Google Adwords, SEO, Legal Publications (TLOMA & OBA), Medical Conferences and many other initiatives throughout the year.


We also promote our services to our current Medical/Legal/Professional community of over 30 years through e-flyers and mail outs.  We have over 4000 email addresses and growing of Doctors/Lawyers/Professionals who are using our Dictation & Transcription products across Canada.


Administration fees, 2.9% credit card transaction fees, money transfer fees all included. Employer and Freelance worker will not pay any credit card fees or any additional fees.


We support both parties with all disputes.  We  act as a mediator and come to a compromise for both parties if any problem arise.  Employer does not pay until they are 100% satisfied with work.  Employer & Freelancer will email support@transcribeforme.ca with all issues and we reserve the right to take up to 3 business days to resolve all issues.
